Davis High School athletic director Patrick Donlon brought this to our attention today:
With the varsity football team defeating Laguna Creek 17-7 on Friday, Davis High School has qualified 14 teams for the Sac-Joaquin Section Playoffs.
This is the maximum number of teams possible for section competion.
Of particular note is the DHS cross country team, with approximately 150
athletes. The Blue Devils qualified seven teams for the section finals on Saturday, the maximum possible.
