The Davis High School girls volleyball team earned a No. 3 seed on Thursday for the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I Playoffs. That's a good thing for the Blue Devils since top-ranked Nevada Union is on the other side of the bracket and the two wouldn't have to meet until the finals.
The Blue Devils, who did not lose a game or a match in Delta Valley Conference play, will host No. 14 Downey on Tuesday in the first round. If DHS wins, it would get another home match on Nov. 8.
The section finals are at The Pavilion at 8 p.m. on Nov. 15.
