This story indicates UC Davis pitcher Brad McAtee has signed a professional contract and will start the season with the Tri-City (Wash.) Dust Devils in the Colorado Rockies' organization:
McAtee, the Aggies' No. 2 starter who was 8-5 with a 3.18 ERA, was a 45th-round selection.
If Fitzgerald ends up with the Salem-Keizer (Ore.) Volcanoes, there will be three former Aggies in the short-season Northwest League. Ryan Royster was assigned to the Everett (Wash.) AquaSox.
